This summer we got the Lost Luggage crew together and flew down Dawn & Hawkes to record our Ep. And the catch is we decided to do it in our house. Converted the living room to a drum/live room and flipped the guest room into the control room. We're tweaking final mixes but should have it out to the public by the first of the year. A dream come true and a dream team to work with.
Two of my favorite months this year, filled with friends coming to visit, front porch jams sessions, dinners outside and finding our way out to Salida for the Gentlemen of the road with Mumford and Sons. Somewhere in the middle I found my way to Nashville to start working on a project with Stu G and a catch up with Daniel White. Then the Hawkes came to visit. Summer we will miss you but bring on the snow and fun of winter.

Today I head off on another long haul, to India and couldn't be more excited to land in one of my favorite Countries. Two years ago, I went to India for first time. I was amazed at how kind the people were and how most of them wanted their portraits made. We got to see some incredible things from the tea gardens to fishing docks to riding on an overnight train to the border of Bhutan and India. I also shot some of my first rolls of B+W film on Ilford and had them developed in Calcutta by one of the last guys who still develops film. Here are some of my favorite frames from those rolls. I am excited to go back and see what I capture this time on Fuji Chrome Velvia 100 color film.

We decided to it was time for a little getaway and headed off to Rainbow Lake near cottonwood pass. I've been going here since I was 6 with my Dad's side of the family months before my little sister was born. What a great place to get away and engage with nature without any access to wifi or cell phone service.
